Finca Irlanda is an organic coffee estate in Chiapas, Mexico, owned by the Peters Family. Since the early nineteen sixties the Peters Family is committed to biodynamic agriculture. The management is constantly looking for improvements to produce coffee more environmentally friendly and sustainable. Beside these improvements the management is committed to improve the living conditions of the permanent and temporary workers on the estate. The Tierra Nova Fund has two consecutive years, in 2012 and 2013, made a financial contribution for the construction of facilities for the temporary workers, working and staying at Finca Irlanda during the months of the harvest. It comes to improving the homes of temporary workers, a community room and sanitary facilities.
